Last night I started bleeding without any cramping or pain. Bright red fresh blood. A few tablespoons I would say. We went to A waited for ages and told to come back on Monday to have a scan at the Early Pregnancy Department. The doctor wasn't too concerned as I had no pain or cramping but also gave the usual spiel about not be able to prevent a miscarriage. Me and my husband have come to terms with the possibility of the loss of our baby. But was wondering if anyone else has experienced any similar problems. Oh bless you! I had bleeding at 18 weeks. Just woke up one morning to find I had bled, not loads but enough to worry me. The following week the same thing happened and I was convinced I was going to mis carry. Anyway the bleeding did stop and I'm now going into my 22nd week. People kept telling me to be positive at the time but how can you be when you are expecting the worse. Hopefully your bleeding is nothing serious and will stop soon. I still don't know for sure where my bleeding came from or what caused it. Thank you so much to everyone who left a message. Reading your replies did make me feel optimistic. And your right. Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean bad news. My husband and I started to feel less anxious towards the end of the weekend after we did a little research on the matter and read the replies. We had the scan about an hour ago and the baby is doing fine. Apparently the bleed had nothing to do with the baby but more so to do with my own body surrounding the baby. Which is relief. They also said that if I do start bleeding like before that I should not worry. Unless the bleed is heavy or heavy with cramps then I should make my way to hospital quick time. Oh I know the feeling! You worry about being able to conceive. Worry for the first 12 weeks as the odds aren't very good. And then you worry about carrying the child to full term, all the blood tests and conditions that can arise from pregnancy and then you worry about the birth. I feel that before my husband had no idea what I went through with our first daughter but since the bleed its kinda scared him a bit. I guess his had a glimpse into what a lot of women have to face on a daily basis. But you forget the good things that happen. Like your first scan, the first kick, hearing the heartbeat, finding the sex etc. And you forget momentarily all the aches and pains. Or so I imagine. its difficult so I really understand.
